Part Time - Customer Service and Sales

Our sales department is currently seeking a professional, hardworking individual for our who will primarily work in our scale house and occasionally provide back up for our retail store (once it is opened).  This position is critical for our company and involves:

  • consistency and flexibility
  • excellent customer service
  • error free typing skills
  • basic math skills
  • critical thinking and problem solving
  • basic computer skills

A Typical Day Includes:

  • assisting our loyal customers
  • maintaining organization of the daily sales tickets 
  • using the scale system to verify truck and trailer weights 
  • collecting payment and providing change
  • answering questions about our fantastic selection of landscaping products and recycling services

Our ideal candidate is detail oriented and exhibits very strong organizational skills. A knowledge of landscape materials and supplies is extremely beneficial, but not required. Full time scale operators are scheduled to work at any time during our normal business hours:

Monday - Friday
6:45 AM – 5:30 PM

Saturdays
6:45 AM – 3:30 PM

Saturday availability is a requirement for the full time position.

Your Qualifications:

  • general computer skills (will train in specific software packages)
  • polished customer service skills and unbeatable professionalism
  • demonstrated organizational skills
  • experience working with limited supervision
  • ability to write efficiently and legibly (many of our forms are handwritten)
  • money handling experience
  • mathematical abilities (ability to perform basic equations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • scale house or vehicle weigh scale experience
  • deliveries/dispatch experience
  • bilingual in Spanish and English
  • experience in landscaping industry (products and more)

Compensation:

  • this is an hourly position.  Pay is based on experience.
  • health insurance benefits available after 90 days (full time employees)
  • paid vacation (up to 5 days) - available after 1 year of full time employment
  • paid holidays (full time employees)
