Retail Sales and Customer Service for Landscape Recycling

Our sales department is currently seeking a professional, hardworking individual for our who will primarily work in our scale house and provide back up for our retail store (once it is opened).  This position is critical for our company and involves:

  • consistency and flexibility
  • excellent customer service
  • computer and error free typing skills
  • basic math skills
  • critical thinking and problem solving 

A Typical Day Includes:

  • helping our loyal customers (many of whom use our services every day) 
  • maintaining organization of the daily sales tickets 
  • using the scale system to verify vehicle and trailer weights 
  • payment collection 

Because we also sell landscaping supplies, you will need to be able to answer basic questions about the products we offer.  

You should be detail oriented and exhibit strong organizational skills. A knowledge of landscape materials and supplies is extremely beneficial, but not required. Full time scale operators are scheduled to work at any time during our normal business hours:

Monday - Friday
6:45 AM – 5:30 PM

Saturdays
6:45 AM – 3:30 PM

Saturday availability is a requirement for the full time position.

Your Qualifications:

  • General computer skills (will train in specific software packages)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Experience working with supervised and with limited supervision
  • Ability to write legibly (many of our forms are handwritten)
  • Cashiering and/ or money handling experience
  • Proven experience interacting with customers
  • Mathematical abilities (ability to perform simple equations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scale House/ Weigh Scale experience
  • Deliveries/dispatch experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience in landscaping industry

Compensation:

  • Hourly position: pay is based on experience
  • Health insurance benefits available after 90 days (full time employees)
  • Paid vacation (up to 5 days) available after 90 days (full time employees)
  • Paid holidays (full time employees)
